#1:  Hey, all you aspiring actors and actresses out there in Valley Players land. If you have a secret desire to be on the main stage or maybe be part of a dinner theater production or even act in small skits,  Valley Players is offering " free" (yes, you read it correctly)  "free" acting basics for those with absolutely no experience: for those who may have been in high school and college productions and haven't seen the spotlights since then, or for those who just want to refresh your already seasoned acting skills.

Regina Ford ( who has been acting and directing longer than she can remember her lines)  will be teaching and refreshing your memories about acting basics. It will  all  be done in intimate groups (in other words, three students per 60-minute sessions) so that everyone gets individual attention.

Two different classes will run on Sundays in May, one starting at  2 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a different class from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Monday evening classes in May will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and another class beginning at  7 p.m. and going until 8 p.m.

Each three-member group will be asked to attend two classes.

I will be flexible, since people travel in the summer and if only two people can make a class because another is traveling, we'll hold class anyway. Even more intimacy!

I will try to group the actors according to their experience, so that  newcomers are together in one class and more advanced students in another, but if that isn't feasible for some reason, we'll still keep the class size small so everyone  gets individual attention.

Many Valley Players have already expressed an interest in taking the classes, but I need confirmation once again before April 16 so that Lu Vos can reserve GVR rooms  for the classes.

So, even if you have emailed me or called before, if you should contact me once again and let me know which  days you prefer for your class so I can get a more accurate head count and see where the interest is.  I am hoping to get this in the GVR Keeping Current for May so that other GVR members are made aware of the classes in hopes of getting new people.

I am hoping to invite non-Valley Players to join the club of course.

So, email me at:  rford@gvnews.com or call me at 547-9740. I'll need to know your acting experience and the dates and times you are available.

If anything, this should be fun!
